Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zuer is an Israeli actress who
has received praise for her performances. Born in Tel Aviv in 1967, she first
gained the attention of Hollywood when she was given the role of Eric Bana's
wife in the Oscar(r) nominated film Munich (2005). Zurer has appeared in
several Studio films since arriving in America, which includes Sony Pictures'
Vantage Point featuring William Hurt and Dennis Quaid, Samuel Goldwyn's
Fugitive Parts, which starred Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected
opposite Jeff Goldblum, and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons,
opposite Tom Hanks, Darling Companion, an ensemble Lawrence Kasdan casting that
features Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel opposite
Russell Crow. The actress filmed Rodrigo Garcia, Last days in the desert
alongside Ewan McGregor in addition to waiting for the release date of the film
The Last Knights by the Japanese director Kazuaki Kiriya in the role of Clive
Owen. Recently, she won the Gold Nymph Award as Outstanding actress in an Drama
Series at the 54th Festival of Television of Monte-Carlo. This was due to her
part in "Hostages". Ayelet received nominations for the Israeli Film
and Television Academy Award in recognition of her role in Nina's Tragedies.
Ayelet was also nominated due to her performances in films Only Dogs Run Free
and The Dybuk, from Holy Apple Field, Desperado and Rutenberg. Zurer was the
winner of the Haifa International Film Festival critic prize , and was awarded
a star on Haifa's "film boulevard" for her international and local
achievements. Zurer was awarded the Israeli Television Academy Award for her
performance on "In Treatment", an internationally acclaimed
television series that was made into American TV by HBO. In 2014 She received
an award for her performance for the year's top drama "Shtisel", but
won the title of best actress in a show for her portrayal of a brilliant
surgeon faced with the life and death dilemma in Hostages that was licensed to
BBC4 and Canal Plus, and as an option to the American ABC. Golbary is among
Israel's top fashion brands for women. She is the "face" of Golbary.
She is a writer, producer as well as an illustrator. She was also the co-author
on "Shorts", the first adult novel written by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet has
been developing a several of her own ideas in Israel and the US she has
expressed the desire to collaborate with directors from across the globe and
believes in collaborating with unknown directors and writers as well as
established ones.
