Margarita Vergara, Spanish was born on July 10, 1972. She is an actress
presenter, producer, model, and TV presenter from Colombia. Vergara was the
highest-paid actress on American television from 2013 until 2020. Vergara rose
in prominence when she hosted two programs on Univision's Spanish-language TV
network in the latter part of the 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was her first big
acting performance in English. Then, she was in Four Brothers (2006) and Tyler
Perry's comedy Come To Jail (2008). She was nominated for an ALMA Award for the
former. Her first role was as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in ABC's comedy show
Modern Family in 2009. In the role she was awarded four Golden Globe Awards and
four Primetime Emmy Awards. The voice-overs she did were Happy Feet Two (2011)
and Escape from Planet Earth (2013). She was also a part of The Emoji Movie
(2017). Vergara was also the highest-paid Hollywood actress in 2020 [citation

Vergara is America's Got Talent judge since 2020. Vergara was born into an
Roman Catholic family from Barranquilla. Vergara's mother Margarita Vergara was
a homemaker , and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher.
The five siblings of her and many of her relatives were known as
"Toti". Vergara completed three years of dental school at the
National University of Colombia. But, she chose to quit two semesters earlier
in order to explore opportunities in show business and modeling.
